What’s the first thing you do no in the morning? Use the bathroom? Brush your teeth? Make coffee? Whatever it is, it probably has one thing in common with these three options---it requires water.
Yet according to water.org, one 1 in 10 people lack access to safe water. That’s over 660 million men, women and children who can’t simply turn on a faucet when they want a drink.
It’s hard to imagine having to walk miles every day for something we take for granted, and the extent of the problem might even seem overwhelming, but that shouldn’t deter us from doing all we can to help.
Kingdom Investment International, Easton Water Solutions of Bellefontaine (OH), the Christian Mission Alliance (CMA), and Friends in Action International have joined forces to help the people of Burkina-Faso, a country in Western Africa. Their task? To dig five wells that will provide life-giving, safe water to five communities in one of the poorest countries in the world. Led by Ken Sims, Director of Technology for Bellefontaine Community Schools, the team of four workers began their two weeks adventure from January 8-25, 2016.
